Dr. True To Lead Workshop on FUE at ISHRS Conference
At an upcoming conference of The International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery in Anchorage, Alaska, Dr. Robert True will lead a workshop on the technique of follicular unit extraction.
Since 2002, Dr. True has given many presentations on the technique to teach other physicians about its use. These workshops have advanced the use of the technique.
Dr. True is a pioneer in the field and has been a part of the continual development and refinement of follicular unit extraction.
Along with several other expert physicians from Europe and the United States, Dr. True will examine how the field has been able to improve the technique to minimize any damage to hair follicles in the process of follicular unit extraction. The presentation will also highlight ways the technique has become more efficient over time. Hair loss doctors can now perform large hair transplants within a few hours.
One of the most important innovations has been the introduction of mechanized systems. These systems use special mechanical motors that help in the extraction process. These techniques allow doctors to harvest 500-1,000 grafts an hour with minimal damage to hair follicles. Thus, follicular unit extraction is beginning to rival the results and efficiency of follicular unit transplants; the most widely performed contemporary technique of hair transplants.
The conference will take place from September 14th through September 18th in Anchorage.
